The whole Fckh8 campaign seems to reek of Lady GaGa syndrome to me.
Lady GaGa syndrome (noun): 1. The phenomenon of celebrities bragging about how they are such huge “activists” for LGBT rights, and then they turn their back and say homophobic, biphobic, and/or transphobic things in their songs and/or interviews. Named after Stephanie Germanotta (aka Lady GaGa), who is known for her outspoken support for LGBT rights, but then says stuff like how she doesn’t consider herself sexy because she looks like a tranny.
“Ke$ha is suffering from a severe case of Lady GaGa syndrome after she made an “It Gets Better” video but then came out with the transphobic song ‘Grow a Pear’”.

And yeah, I don’t even know if the people in the video were gay or not.
If they actually were straight, fuck them all.
I don’t want them standing up for me and my rights if that is the kind of shit (since they wanted to make a shit video) they are going to do. They need to shut up forever. Watching that video, I almost wondered if they are like the Westboro Baptist Church of gay rights - probably on the other side just trying to make the side they say they are for (but are actually against) look very bad.
Yeah, I am definitely withdrawing my support from FCKH8 now. But I still fucking want the underwear I ordered almost 3 months ago dammit.

I’m normally all for saying a big ‘fuck you’ to homophobes but that video…… just no. It doesn’t sit well at all. It’s…. just wrong.
I haven’t liked them for a while - they’re too crude and angry and almost argumentative. It’s just too extreme to make an impact on people’s views, imho. After reading all this though - no. Just no.
